Catlin, Ill.—Jane Allison, 86, a 44 year resident of Catlin, formerly of Potomac, Ill., died at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 1989 at Americana Healthcare Center.
She was born June 8, 1902 in Jamesburg, the daughter of Aaron and Mary Frances Lockhart Phipps. She was married Sept. 23, 1921 in Covington to Chester A. Allison, who preceded her in death June 6, 1969.
She was a member of Catlin Church of Christ. She and her husband were owners and operators of Allison saddle Shop in Catlin. She enjoyed her family and raising African violets.
Surviving are six children, Mary Rouse and Irene Tutwiler, both of Catlin; Estel Allison, Tilton, Ill.; Marjorie Molloy, Danville, Ill.; Chester Allison, Oakwood, Ill., and Joyce Reed, Fairmount, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and an infant daughter, Delores Faye.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Barrick & Son Guardian Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Divan officiating. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery. – thanks to S
